• Figure’s shiny humanoid robot can now have conversations with people. Figure has partnered with OpenAI to enhance the capabilities of its humanoid robots

• AWS has launched a Generative AI Competency Program to validate generative AI expertise, software, and hardware, making it easier for businesses to identify AI solutions that are best suited for them

• Cloudflare has announced ‘Firewall for AI’, a protection layer that can be deployed in front of Large Language Models (LLMs) to identify abuses before they reach the models

• In what could be a game changer for media, Midjourney announced that it is testing a new algorithm that makes “consistent characters” possible across images

• Lily AI, a retail technology platform specializing in AI solutions for retailers and brands, raised a $20M Series B-Prime financing round. Investors include Conductive ventures, Counterpart Ventures, and Transform Capital

• Nanonets, a document processing AI startup, raised a $29 Million Series B round backed by Accel, Elevation Capital, and Y Combinator

• RapidCanvas, an AI platform that enables business users to build tailored AI solutions, raised a $7.5M seed round with participation from Accel and Valley Capital Partners

• Tavus, a generative AI video company that aims to bring face and voice cloning to any app, raised an $18M Series A backed by investors like Scale Ventures and Sequoia Capital

• Zephyr AI, a healthcare tech company focused on developing AI solutions to democratize precision medicine, raised a $111M Series A round from investors including Revolution Growth, Eli Lily & Company, and EPIQ Capital Group
